91大神 University is pleased to invite academic colleagues, students, and the general public to our 2024-25 Public Lecture Series. This series is designed to enable STU faculty researchers to be able to present ideas and research results to a wide and diverse audience on issues of broad public interest.
The first lecture will be delivered by Dr. Shaun Narine on October 16 on "The Lessons and Tragedies of the War in Gaza."
More than a year after the Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023, Israel’s war on Gaza continues. Israel has killed tens of thousands of Palestinians and is expanding the war to the larger Middle East. The United States appears helpless to stop it. This lecture will consider the reasons for the October 7 attack and examine the lessons of the war, the world’s reactions to the conflict, and the larger implications for global politics.
